The Ability to Link Custom Objects to Appointments - Field Service Management
We would really benefit from the ability to link custom objects to appointments - here is the use case: We are using GHL for field service management. The calendar is used for field work, which entails a delivery address. It is not uncommon for a contact to be associated to multiple delivery addresses, particularly in the B2B space. The standard contact fields only really facilitate hosting one physical address for the contact. We have employed a custom object for delivery addresses, this allows us to associate a contact with multiple addresses, and also to associate an address with multiple contacts - this is a key feature of other field service management SAAS provide, such as Jobber. In the backend, our sub-account runs a workflow when a contact is updated with a delivery address, if the address already exists as an object - it associates the contact to the object, if the contact address doesn't exist - the address is created as a new object. What we are looking for: when an appointment is booked, or in the schedule, there wants to be a dropdown option to link custom objects to the appointment. For us - this means linking an address as an object. For other niches, this could be: mechanic niche = link a vehicle object to an appointment veterinary niche = link a pet object to an appointment We have seen the feature to link Opportunities (an object) to estimates, dropped already, which is great! This also helps me to know that it's probably a fairly simple implementation to add this feature I'm talking about. I'll attach some visual aids to help explain this concept, including how Jobber currently employs this feature in their scheduling.
