we need to be able to get a list of people/customers/events (including the event date) that have paid $ because we carry that as a liability on our books. 2. We need a list of events with the event name, event date and total booking amount Our Event Deposit Liability is our LARGEST liability - around $400,000 and we need to be able to run reports out of your system to support this balance for our auditors. We see the payments report, but it doesn't have the event date on it. It is important that the date of the event is included because that determines whether it is a liability. If the date of the event is in the past, it is no longer a liability. If the date is in the future, it is a liability that we include on our financial statements. Put another way, if our event venue burned down and we needed to refund everyone's deposits, what report could we run in Nurture Pro to get a list of everyone who paid a deposit who hasn't had their wedding yet?. when our auditors come in and ask us "what have you collected from customers for events that haven't happened yet", how do we give them that list? Our previous system absolutely provided reporting for this information, all driven from a field in every report that lists "DATE OF EVENT". We have not found that there is a field in Nuture pro reporting where the date of the event is listed in a report and this is very important to us, both to determine our deposit liability at the end of the month and also our revenue earned for the month. These reports need to be downloadable into excel. This is turning into a showstopper for us and without these important fields in reporting, Nurture Pro is not working for us in many ways. We need to be able to support our financials with reporting from your system. We cannot manually prepare reports that we previously got from our other system. Example of Report 1: Name of event/customer Date of Event Amount Paid Date Paid Jane Doe Wedding 9/15/2026 $6,000 3/15/2026 Susie Q 4/15/2026 $ 4500 3/20/2026 Jane Doe Wedding 9/15/2026 $6,000 8/15/2026 Example of Report 2: Name of event/customer Date of Event Booking Amount Jane Doe 9/15/2026 $12,000 Susie Q 4/15/026 $4.500 The way we would book our Revenue and deposits in our general ledger would be as follows, but we can't do this unless "Event date" is a field on the report: March, 2026 DR CR Cash $10,500 Event Deposit Liability $10,500 (Recognizing a liability for Total Cash deposits received in March for weddings in the future) April 2026 Event Deposit Liability $4,500 Event Revenue $4,500 (recognizing revenue and reducing the deposit liability account for Susie Q's wedding that happened in April) August, 2026 Cash $6,000 Event Deposit Liability $6,000 (Increase our liability account for the final payment made for the Jane Doe Wedding that is not until Sept,. so at the end of August, this is a LIABILITY and the total liability at the end of August is $12,000 which represents the Jane Doe wedding which is in the future) September, 2026 Event Deposit Liability $12,000 Event Revenue $12,000 (recognzing the revenue for the Jane Doe wedding in the month the wedding happens. There is now $0 liability) You can see that when we collect the cash for an event that is in the future, we hit a deposit liability account. When the event happens, we reduce the deposit liabilty and hit "revenue" at the end of the month for the events that happened in the month. We cannot do that reporting unless we have the " EVENT DATE" as a field in all of the reporting.
