Company Object

Optimize GHL CRM for dealing with companies - fix the disconnect between the company under the contact info, and the companies under the company tab
Currently, we have a 'Business Name' field under the contacts that uses {{ contact.company _name }} - however this is just a text field, and has no functionality for structuring out contacts into companies. On the other hand, we have 'Company' tab up the top of the contacts field. In here, we can create companies as separate entities, and then be able to assign contacts to these companies, as well as create tasks and notes for the company. As a lot of businesses are using GHL to deal with businesses, compared to contacts, this functionality is great, and exactly what we want - however it needs to be more integrated into the rest of GHL more. Idea: Be able to choose if we want our account to focus more on dealing with businesses, or with contacts, so that B2B companies are able to use GHL to manage projects etc for companies rather than contacts. This means that we can create opportunities for companies, and be able to set a primary contact for each company, so any messaging goes to the primary contact. The business name field should also be integrated into companies, and the order for adding contacts can be switched around, so you start by entering in the company information, and then you add the contact information under the company - as there are going to be more contacts than companies, so adding the company first makes sense. We also need the feature to be able to add umbrella companies, to have at least one overarching company - for example if we have a franchise that has a corporate contact, and then we also need to have the branches as companies as well, each with their own contacts. This improvements are much needed in order to make GHL the best solution for managing B2B work, and creating an effective CRM for managing different companies, branches, etc. The system is currently confusing, and is not user friendly to have to navigate into the company tab to then add a company - which has no relation to the business name under the contacts, and no way to be able to quickly bulk import companies from the company name field.

Company Object Association to Other Objects
Right now, the Company object in GoHighLevel can only connect to Contacts. It can't connect to any custom objects we create. This makes it really hard to build CRM systems for businesses where companies (not just individual people) do things. It's coming soon and a timeline is needed B2B USE CASE We're a coaching business that works with law firms. Here's what we need to track: Companies that attend events Companies that have memberships with different levels Companies that make payments and sign contracts Companies that become franchises Companies that have staff and their guests We can't connect the Company object directly to any of these things. This is a big problem. What We're Stuck Doing Instead The only way around this is to store company information on individual Contact records instead. Or create a Custom Object and call is Company. This creates a mess... Duplicate Data Everywhere: If a law firm has 5 people, we have to copy the firm's membership level, renewal date, and other info onto all 5 contact records Constant Updates Needed: When something changes about the company (like they upgrade their membership), we need workflows to update every single contact from that company Hard to Create Reports: We can't easily see what companies did what. We have to do complicated lookups through contacts instead Gets Worse Over Time: The more contacts a company has, the harder it gets to keep everything in sync THE BIG ASK: Let us connect Company objects to custom objects, just like we can connect Contact objects to custom objects. This would let us: Create direct connections: Company to Event, Company to Membership, Company to Revenue/Contracts Create accurate reports about B2B activities WHO ELSE NEEDS THIS: Multiple people from the same company use your services You need to track what companies do (not just what individuals do) You run B2B operations
