Feature Request: Native GBP "Gallery" Uploads via Social Planner & API
The Problem: The "Post" vs. "Gallery" Gap Currently, when GHL users schedule a Google Business Profile (GBP) post, the image/video only appears as a "What's New" Update. It does not get added to the permanent Photos/Videos Gallery of the business profile. To solve this for SEO purposes, many of us are forced to pay for external tools like OneUp (Growth Plan: $120/mo). While OneUp allows us to schedule posts via their API and check a box to "Add to Photos Gallery," even their API currently lacks the ability to tag/category those uploads specifically for the GBP gallery. Proposed Feature We need the ability to toggle a "Gallery Upload" setting whenever media is attached to a GBP post—accessible via both the UI and the Public API. UI Enhancements (Social Planner) Checkbox: Add a "Push to GBP Photo Gallery" toggle in the Social Planner composer. Category Selector: A dropdown to select the Google-specific category (e.g., Interior, Exterior, At Work, Team). Permanent SEO: Media should remain in the GBP Gallery even after the "Post" expires from the updates feed. API Enhancements (CRITICAL) Post Endpoint Update: Update the Social Planner / Post API to include a boolean parameter: uploadToGbpGallery: true/false. Metadata Support: Allow a gbpCategory string in the API payload so we can programmatically organize media. Bulk Capabilities: Ensure this is supported via the "Bulk Upload" CSV/Google Sheets workflow. Why This is a "OneUp Killer" Local SEO Dominance: Fresh gallery photos are a confirmed ranking signal. Automating this enhances GHL's automated capability for local SEO agencies. Cost Savings: Saves agencies $1,440/year per sub-account (or agency-wide) currently spent on OneUp just to bridge this one gap. That one feature is the only reason I use OneUp and not GHL for social planning/scheduling.
