Working Hours for Conversation AI Agents
Overview
We're introducing Working Hours for Conversation AI, giving business more control over when their AI agents respond to customers.
You can now set specific working days and hours for each agent, choose which channels should follow those hours, and configure what happens when a customer reaches out after business hours.
This helps business keep their AI aligned with their actual operating hours while still making sure after-hours customers are acknowledged and followed up with.
What's New?
- Set flexible Working Hours for each agent- Choose the days and times when an AI agent should actively respond. You can set different hours for each day and add multiple time slots for breaks or split shifts.
- Choose which channels follow Working Hours- Apply the schedule only to selected channels such as SMS, Email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Chat Widget, Live Chat, and TikTok. Channels that are not selected can continue responding 24/7.
- Use Contact or Business Timezone- Run the schedule based on each contact's local timezone or your business timezone.
- Continue ongoing conversations after hours- If a conversation started during working hours, the agent can continue replying after closing time until the conversation becomes inactive.
- Send an Off-Hours Auto-Reply- Automatically acknowledge customers who message outside working hours. You can add your own custom message and personalize it using supported custom values.
- Notify your team about after-hours messages- Send email notifications to admins, users, assigned users, selected team members, or custom email addresses.
- Automatically tag after-hours contacts- Add selected tags to contacts who message outside business hours, making it easier to identify, filter, and follow up with them.
- Follow up when business hours resume- Automatically send a follow-up when the business reopens if the customer has not already received a response from the agent or a team member.
Additional Notes:
- Working Hours is optional. If it is not enabled, the agent continues responding at any time as it does today.
- Working Hours applies only to the channels you select. Other channels continue working normally.
- The Off-Hours Auto-Reply, notifications, and contact tags are triggered once per closed period, so customers will not receive the same acknowledgement for every message they send after hours.
- The business-hours follow-up is skipped if the customer has already received a response from either the AI agent or a team member.
- In Suggestive Mode, suggestions can still be generated after working hours for your team.
- If Followup Hours is also configured for Advanced Follow-Up, the agent's Working Hours takes priority for the channels included in the agent's schedule.
- Agents can still be manually activated outside their Working Hours when needed via conversation panel.
- Working Hours is configured per agent, so different agents can have completely different schedules.

Set a Fixed Price for Your AI Products
What's New
You can now bill your sub-accounts a fixed rate for Conversation AI and Voice AI instead of only a markup on usage. For example, you can charge $0.50 for every message sent through Conversation AI — the same amount every time, no matter how much that message actually costs to process.
You choose the billing model — markup or fixed rate — separately for each product and sub-account, and you can switch between them whenever you like.
Why It Matters
AI usage costs are based on tokens, which are hard to explain and even harder for your customers to estimate. A fixed rate means your customers see one simple, consistent price for AI usage — no surprises, no confusing math. That makes it much easier to explain the value of your AI products and close the sale.
Notes
- This is available at the product and sub-account level — you can set a fixed rate for one AI product or sub-account, and keep markup pricing on another.
- Markup-based billing is still fully supported if you prefer it.
- You're still billed based on actual usage on your end, so it's worth reviewing your own numbers to set a fixed rate that works for your margins.

Introducing separate rebilling configuration for Conversation AI and Voice AI
We have introduced product-level billing separation for Conversation AI and Voice AI.
Previously, both Conversation AI and Voice AI usage was billed under the legacy Conversation AI product. Following the product split, the legacy product has been separated into two distinct products.
- Conversation_AI
- VoiceAI
What's changed?
- Conversation AI and Voice AI usage is now tracked and billed separately.
- Both products are displayed independently across billing usage and rebilling sections.
- Agencies can configure separate rebilling settings for each product.
- Rebilling settings applied to one product will not automatically apply to the other.
What's New
You've built a Conversations AI agent — but will it handle real customer chats the way you expect? Prompt Optimizer now works with Conversations AI, so you can find out before your customers do.
It generates realistic customer scenarios, runs real chat conversations against a cloned copy of your agent, evaluates the results, pinpoints what failed, and rewrites the prompt to perform better. Your production agent stays untouched until you review and apply the improved version.
How It Works
- Configure - Build Your Test Plan
- Auto-generated scenarios: AI creates contextual test scenarios based on your agent's prompt, language, knowledge base, appointment setup, and actions — each with a customer persona, opening message, expected behaviors, and priority level.
- Reuse past scenarios: Load scenarios from earlier runs instead of starting from scratch.
- Multi-language support: Scenarios, evaluations, and optimized prompts stay aligned to your agent's language.
- Usage visibility: See daily free messages used vs. remaining, plus a pre-run checklist before you start.

- Test - Real Chats, Real Actions
- Real conversations, not simulations: Prompt Optimizer sends actual customer-style messages and waits for your agent's real replies.
- Action tracking: See when the agent triggers Appointment Booking, Human Handover, Workflow Triggers, Bot Transfer, Stop Bot, Auto Follow-up, Contact Field Updates, and Knowledge Base Queries.
- Full transcripts with AI scoring: Every chat is evaluated against expected outcomes, with clear reasoning on what passed, what failed, and why.
- Runs in the background: Leave the screen and come back to completed results.

- Improve - AI-Guided Prompt Optimization
- One-click Improvise: AI analyzes failed chats, identifies root causes, generates an improved prompt, and tests it.
- Auto Optimize: Run multiple optimization attempts automatically until your target accuracy is reached.
- Prompt diff viewer: See exactly what changed before applying anything.
- Best Variation tag: The highest-accuracy prompt is highlighted, with full history of every attempt.

Safe by Design
- Testing runs against a cloned agent - your live agent is never modified until you click "Use Prompt."
- Temporary test contacts are created for each run and cleaned up automatically, keeping your CRM free of test data.
Good to Know
- AI evaluations can vary between runs - treat accuracy scores as directional guidance.
- Real actions (bookings, workflows, handovers) execute during testing, so use test calendars and workflows where appropriate.
- Long or stuck conversations time out automatically so runs always complete.

New Channel Management Conversation AI
New Channel Management Experience
Channel Management changes how AI bots are assigned to your conversation channels. Instead
of relying on a single "Primary Bot," any bot can now be assigned directly to specific
channels and respond independently.
What's new
- No more "Primary Bot" requirement.Bots are assigned directly to channels (SMS,
Email, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Live Chat, Web Chat).
- Granular routing.Route by channel, by specific account/number, and by contact tags —
for example, send VIP-tagged contacts to one bot and everyone else to another.
- Specificity wins.A more targeted assignment takes priority over a broader one (e.g.
"Facebook + VIP tag" overrides a general "Facebook" assignment).
- No duplicate assignments. Two bots can't share the exact same channel + identifier +
tag configuration.
How to turn it on
- Open Labsat the sub-account level.
- Enable the flag named "Conversations AI Channel Management".
- Wait about 5 minutesfor your existing setup to migrate before testing.
Migration runs automatically once the flag is on — you don't need to recreate your bots.
What happens to your existing bots (migration)
- Your current Primary Bot is preserved.During migration it's automatically assigned
to the channels it already supports, so it keeps responding exactly as before.
- Bots that were notthe Primary Bot keep their settings, but you assign them to
channels using the new channel assignment controls.
- Bot assigned directly to a contact still takes top priority— regardless of channel.
Previously, if a bot was assigned to a contact but had that channel disabled, it wouldn't
reply. Now that per-bot supported channels are deprecated, an assigned bot will reply as
long as it's in autopilot mode, while still honoring all other settings (such as sleep
time).
The "first bot is primary" concept is gone
Previously, the first bot you created for a sub-account was automatically made the
location's
Primary Bot
. That concept is deprecated — there's no automatic primaryanymore. To get a bot to reply, you simply
enable the channels
you want it to handle.Facebook & Instagram with multiple accounts
- Each connected Facebook Page or Instagram account is treated as a separate channel
identifier.
- After migration, your existing bot responds across allconnected Facebook/Instagram
accounts by default.
- To route them separately, assign a specific bot to a specific Page/account — each
connected account can be handled by a different bot.
Snapshots
What happens to a loaded snapshot depends on when the original bots were set up:
- Snapshot from an older setup (before Channel Management):the bot that was the Primary
Bot keeps responding automatically — it's assigned its supported channels for you on the
first incoming message, no manual setup needed.
- Snapshot from a Channel Management setup:loaded bots come in without channel
assignments.
Assign each bot to the channels you want it to handle
before it willrespond.
- Either way, review each loaded bot's channel assignments before going live to confirm
they match how you want conversations routed.
Tags and segmentation
- Assignments can include includeandexcludetag filters.
- Two bots can share the same channel as long as their tag filters differ — this is how you
split traffic (for example, VIPs to one bot, everyone else to another).
Workflows and transfers
- The "Update Conversation AI Bot and Status"workflow action is still supported and is
now
channel-agnostic
— the workflow-assigned bot responds for that contact across anychannel, without a separate channel assignment.
- Transfer Botcontinues to work. A transferred bot can respond to the contact even
without a pre-set channel assignment for that conversation.
- Sleep / pause behavior is preserved — a manual reply pauses the assigned bot for its
configured duration (when enabled), no matter which bot is handling the contact.
IMPORTANT: When this feature is enabled, any agent assigned using Update Conversation AI Bot and Status, that agent will respond on all channels. The previous Supported Channels configuration has been deprecated and is no longer used to determine where an agent responds.
Not supported yet
- Public APIis not supported for managing channel assignments — please use the in-app
Channel Management controls.
Need help
If a bot isn't responding as expected after enabling the flag, confirm the bot is assigned
to the correct channel (and account, for Facebook/Instagram) and that its tag filters match
the contact.

Conversation AI
Auto-Suggestive Mode for Conversations AI
We've revamped Suggestive Mode in Conversations AI so your reply suggestions are ready before you even open the conversation. Less waiting, fewer clicks, and full control over every message.
🆕 What's New
- Suggestions generated automatically - AI now drafts a reply in the background the moment a new message arrives, instead of making you wait after opening the composer.
- A brand-new suggestion experience - a cleaner, redesigned card makes it easy to review, edit, and send AI responses without breaking your flow.
- Faster editing & sending - accept a suggestion as-is in a single click, or fine-tune it to match your voice first.
- Always in your control - suggestions are drafts only. Nothing is ever sent automatically - the final decision is always yours.
⚙️ How It Works
- A new message comes in - as soon as a contact replies, Conversations AI starts preparing a suggested response in the background.
- Your suggestion is ready instantly - open the conversation and the recommended reply is already waiting in the new suggestion card. No loading, no manual trigger.
- Review & edit - read the suggestion, tweak the wording, or rewrite it entirely if you'd like.
- Send on your terms - send the suggestion in one click when it looks good. If a newer message arrives, the suggestion refreshes to stay relevant.
💡 Think of it as an AI assistant sitting right beside you — offering instant recommendations while leaving every final decision in your hands.

What’s New
We are introducing more granular controls for how Conversation AI pauses (sleeps) when outbound messages are sent.
With this update, the setting “Send bot to sleep when I send a” has been split into two independent options:
- Manual Message
- Workflow Message
This gives users greater flexibility in controlling bot behavior based on how messages are triggered, improving automation precision and reducing unintended bot pauses.
By default, existing setups will continue to behave as they currently do, ensuring no disruption unless users modify these settings.
How it Works?
1. Default Behaviour (No Change)
- If no changes are made:
- The bot will continue to follow the previously configured sleep behavior.
- Existing automation and manual interactions remain unaffected.
2. Independent Sleep Controls (New)
- Users can now configure bot sleep behavior separately for:
- Manual Messages (messages sent directly by a user)
- Workflow Messages (messages sent via automations/workflows)
This allows:
- Sleeping the bot only for manual interactions
- Sleeping the bot only for automated messages
Or both (same as previous behavior
3. More Precise Automation Handling
With separated controls:
- Manual interventions can pause the bot without affecting workflows
- Automated messages can be sent without unintentionally stopping the bot
- Greater flexibility in hybrid (manual + automated) communication strategies
4. Reactivation Remains Configurable
- The “Reactivate bot after” setting continues to work as before
- Applies regardless of whether sleep was triggered by manual or workflow messages
Why this Matters
- Prevents unnecessary bot pauses during automated workflows
- Enables better control in mixed manual + automation use cases
- Improves conversation continuity and user experience
Gives users more granular and predictable bot behavior
Note
This is an enhancement to existing functionality.
Current behavior will remain unchanged unless users update the new settings.

Marketplace App Update: AI Agent Modules Now Support App Versioning
Overview
We’ve expanded app update versioning to include AI Agent modules, including Conversation AI and Voice AI templates.
Earlier, app versioning supported the release flow for app updates, but AI Agent module changes were not fully tied to app versions. With this update, AI Agent template changes are now version-controlled, making releases safer, clearer, and easier to manage.
What’s new
- AI Agent template changes must now be made through the app versioning flow.
- Developers can no longer edit AI Agent templates directly on a Live version.
- To make changes, developers should go to Manage → Versions, clone the Live version as a Draft, make updates in the Draft, and publish the new version.
Versioning behavior
- Updates to an existing Conversation AI or Voice AI template are treated as a Minor version update by default.
- This includes changes to agent details, descriptions, use cases, supported channels, actions, template configuration, template link updates, or disabling/enabling an existing template link.
- A Major version is required when AI Agent templates are added for the first time to an existing Live app.
- For example, if a Live app did not previously include Conversation AI or Voice AI templates, and the developer adds one or both in a Draft version, the update must be published as a Major version.
Why this matters
This update gives developers better control over how AI Agent changes are released and gives users more visibility into what changed before updating an installed app.
AI Agent updates are now easier to track, review, and adopt through Marketplace release notes and version updates.
What' next
- We are in the process of expanding app versioning to other Marketplace modules as well.
