At the moment, you can’t use a subdomain for a new WordPress website if the root domain is already being used by another WordPress site in GHL.

Example:

WordPress site 1: domain.com

WordPress site 2: portal.domain.com ← not currently possible.

It seems like the solution would be to not check if the root domain is already used in GHL, but the subdomain itself.
