Yes, this is a hurdle as people are not open to just giving out their mobile number for general enquiries.

Agreed 100%, this is a major friction point that should be removable if needed. This is a deal breaker in Europe/UK

no one over here would give their mobile number for a first contact. So could we please have the option to only ask for name and email address? (As this already should be enough to create or update the contact).
The chat widget is like a first sight. Entering even an email address (what we are used to) is a friction. Asking for the phone number is like stepping into someone on the street "Oh, you look like a customer, give me your number" ... nope, not working over here in Europe

Ina Mewes This is part of our roadmap to allow users to select more fields and keep it optional. We will expand on it soon.

This is also stopping clients of mine from using it, since giving a mobile phone number is not typical in the B2B industry that most of them operate in. They might enter their office number. But we can't change the wording of the field or make it optional as suggested above.

Yes please, or even better is to have the possibility to put a individual Fields into it exactly like the formbuilder for the ChatWidget

please just make it optional

Yes please! The vast majority of visitors will not give their mobile number out.

Yes please. A no mobile setting is very much needed.
