A customer contacted us through a WhatsApp username, so the CRM created the contact without a phone number and identified them through a BSUID.
Although the customer sent an inbound WhatsApp message within the last 24 hours, the LeadConnector mobile app does not allow us to send a free-form reply and incorrectly states that we must use a paid template.
The conversation works correctly on the GHL website: we can send free-form replies within the active 24-hour window without any problems. Therefore, the issue appears to affect only the LeadConnector mobile app.
According to HighLevel’s WhatsApp Username documentation, username-only contacts should be replyable through their BSUID during an active 24-hour customer service window.
Please verify that the LeadConnector mobile app is correctly associating the inbound message and active service window with the contact’s BSUID, instead of requiring a value in contact.phone
