Requirement:
Receiving images from prospects via WhatsApp, then sending it to n8n webhook via GHL's workflow automations
Issue:
GHL doesn't seem to store the WhatsApp image URL in message.attachments or message.body
I've also tried to fetch the message via GHL API V2, and still — no image URL found. The "attachments" field on the response is undefined
This fix will be tremendous for all the GHL users out there that is looking to do AI image processing

Specifically on WhatsApp, attachment URLs are not found in workflows or API.
Urgent need, this makes us unable to process any kinds of attachment.
I'm fine with paying $20 per mo for leadconnector's WA, but atleast make images available. Been using unreliable & unofficial WA integrations due to this issue..

Same boat here. We've been routing WhatsApp through external tools just to handle attachments properly. Really hoping this gets prioritized soon since it's such a basic messaging need.

Just to make you aware. I realise GHL wants people to use Conversation AI, but many long standing customers like myself do not want to use this - we want to connect our our AI via n8n.
There have been many customers who have left GHL and cancelled their enterprise subscription because they felt like they're being 'forced' to use conversation AI which their refuse to use.
That's a huge loss to GHL

It's frustrating that this is not available, I've struggle so much trying to find out alternatives to receive whatsapp voice notes and files through API/webhooks. Please release this feature

Anshuman Shrivastav I use a mix of conversation AI (GHL) and the other workflow app when needed.
For example, I let the agent inside GHL to handle the conversation (and respond to voice notes and images) and when I need it, I tell him to start a GHL workflow that posts to a webhook from my app (like n8n). Then in n8n I use the API conversations endpoint to get the whole conversation and ask another AI agent to summarize or do whatever wit that info.
From there you can use whichever other endpoint to update data in GHL

It's crazy that this isn't solved, given that it loses the developer market (myself included) for external use of tools that can empower GHL. Less, committing this solution to such a simple solution that many other apps have already solved years ago.
