This would be great for 2 reasons. 1) When one of your contacts is calling using the AI phone number they would be recognized " Hi John" Thanks for calling, how can I help you? 2) When doing voicemail drops to sell AI voice the caller could call back, be recognized and have a demo of what their missing on their call back.

Great idea, but it should be OPTIONAL. There are some data sensitive industries (think medical) where we don't want the Agent to state any personal information

You can just have "Hi {{ contact.first_name }}" in the initial greeting so if the contact is known they will be greeted by name, if not they just get "Hi". Then pick up the rest in the main prompt

perhaps something like search {{contact.first_name}} in the CRM and greet the caller by their first name.
i've managed to get ai to ask for first name if not available or confirm firstname if in CRM
Experimenting with the {{contact.first_name}} tag might work
