Use Case:

We have a Sales Manager who needs to manage all active opportunities across the team but should not have access to the entire contact database.

Currently in GHL, giving access to Opportunities automatically gives visibility into all Contacts, which raises privacy and data protection concerns.

The need:

Allow Sales Managers (or any assigned user role) to access and work with Opportunities created within specific pipelines or by specific users,

Without granting access to all Contacts stored in the CRM.

Proposed Feature Details:

Opportunity-Level Permission Layer

A new access level under “Roles & Permissions” where a user can:

View / Edit / Reassign Opportunities

Without viewing all Contacts (unless the Contact is tied to that Opportunity)

Filter by Pipeline or Team

Option to select pipelines or opportunity owners the manager can access.

Example: Sales Manager → Access to all “Active” or “New Project” pipelines only.

Contact Privacy

Hide unrelated contact data (contact info, conversations, notes) not tied to the specific Opportunity.

Prevent export or bulk actions outside their assigned opportunities.

Ideal Workflow:

Manager logs in → sees all team opportunities by status (Active, Discovery, Strategy, etc.)

Can comment, assign, or update stages.

Cannot access the entire contact database or other non-relevant client records.
