Dear GoHighLevel Team,
I’ve just started using the platform – and I truly had high hopes. But to be honest, the enthusiasm disappeared almost immediately.
Not because I’m a beginner. Not because it’s “too complex.”
But because almost every small thing I tried to do ended up in a bug or a frustrating limitation. Every single tiny step ended up wasting hours of my time – it's incredibly disheartening.
Here are the core issues I’ve encountered – and unfortunately, none of them feel like edge cases:
Survey Builder:
No way to control spacing or padding between elements
No proper live preview
If a dropdown is the last active field, the system auto-submits the survey (!)
Even adding a simple thank-you text block sometimes breaks the layout
Funnel Builder:
Resizing images is clunky at best
Basic formatting like spacing/margin must be hacked around
Z-index behavior is inconsistent or buggy
Saving errors:
The builder often refuses to save without a clear reason
One tiny omission (like a missing placeholder) caused me to lose everything
Clicking “Preview” often breaks layouts or misfires validation
Dropdown auto-submit issue:
If a dropdown is the last active element, the survey gets auto-submitted
Even without a visible submit button
And it jumps to the top with a validation error or breaks the layout
And all of this happened within just a few days.
I understand this is a powerful platform – but when so many basic functions don't work consistently, it’s not a feature gap... it’s a UX and QA gap.
The system could be amazing. But right now, the experience is:
➡️ frustrating instead of empowering
➡️ and far from beginner-friendly – even for experienced users.
My request is simple:
Please, stop focusing only on adding new features, and fix the fundamentals.
Spacing. Saving. Preview. Submission logic.
These aren’t power-user requests – these are baseline usability standards in 2025.
Thank you for reading – and even more for listening.
A motivated but currently extremely disappointed new user. 🙏
