Currently, when scheduling a post to Threads through the Social Planner, users can only attach a single automatic first comment to the original post. This limits the ability to build out full conversational threads, which is a core part of how content performs and engages audiences on the Threads platform.
We'd like the ability to schedule a primary Threads post along with a sequence of follow-up comments (e.g., 1st comment, 2nd comment, 3rd comment, and ideally more), all set up and scheduled at the same time as the original post. Each comment in the sequence should automatically post as a reply to the previous comment, creating a threaded conversation rather than just a single post with one reply.
This matters because long-form threads are one of the most effective content formats on Threads for storytelling, tutorials, listicles, and driving engagement. Marketers and agencies currently have to manually go back into the native Threads app to add second, third, and subsequent comments after the fact, which defeats the purpose of scheduling and automation.
Adding native multi-comment thread support would let users fully automate Threads content strategies directly from the Social Planner, matching the platform's actual use case and maximizing its marketing value.
Suggested implementation:
  • Allow adding multiple sequential comment fields when composing/scheduling a Threads post (not just one).
  • Each additional comment should thread as a reply to the prior comment automatically at time of publishing.
  • Support media (images/video) in follow-up comments, not just text, since threads often include visuals.
  • Optionally allow reordering or removing individual comments in the sequence before scheduling.
