Would be great if this was added to HighLevel Social Planner - Now, you no longer need to log into your social media accounts to update the Alternative text for your visuals. With SocialPilot, you can add alt texts to images on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. You can also add alt texts to GIFs for your LinkedIn and Twitter posts.

This thread needs a bump. Please add this to the priority list. ADA compliance is a big deal and should not be ignored given the current landscape. I love the updates the GHL team keep churning out but this topic needs to be sorted ASAP considering the fact that it has been implemented in other areas of the platform.

By the end of April of this year, all government institutions in the U.S. (and those funded with government funds, including public school districts, universities, etc) will need to comply with ADA Title II which dictates that new social media posts must feature descriptive alternative text (alt text) for images, captions for videos, and high-contrast visuals to ensure accessibility.
What this means: these organizations can no longer be in compliance while using High Level's Social media planner after April 24, 2026 since they can not edit alt text for images.
This has been an idea on the idea board marked "under review" since 2022. Can we get an update on how High Level is addressing ADA compliance requirement changes?

We were contacted by Bluesky users to use ALT texts for the images due to accessibility. So my vote :-)

Beginning in July 2025, Google is indexing Instagram content, including alt text for images. But in the Social Planner now, there is no way to add alt text. It's an accessibility issue and an SEO performance issue.
To start with, perhaps this could be added as an option for users when they click "edit" on images already added to planned posts.
A work around is to wait until the images are published and then go into Instagram directly and add the alt text.
