Allow approver to change scheduled date on posts waiting for approval

My team creates posts for my approval and i freqently get to the review after the scheduled date. I cant change the sheduled date so i ether approve the post and let it fail or reject the post and they have to go back and change the date. It would be easier if i could just change the scheduled date as an approver
