Rescheduling and adjusting appointment duration are daily tasks for any service business. Staff regularly need to move bookings to a different time or day, and adjust session length based on the individual client.

For example, waxing service duration varies significantly depending on the client. An experienced therapist knows certain clients need more or less time and adjusts accordingly to optimise the day's schedule.

Currently, making these changes requires opening each booking individually and editing the fields. There is no ability to drag an appointment to a new time slot or resize the time block directly on the calendar.

Adding drag-and-drop rescheduling (move to a different time or day) and edge-drag resizing (extend or shorten the duration) would match real-world scheduling workflows, improve time efficiency, and give a more accurate view of availability at a glance.

This is standard functionality in platforms like Fresha and Timely and is one of the most impactful daily workflow improvements the Service Calendar could offer. It is also native in our standard calendars.
