When using the new Service Calendar, users who have the "Restrict user to only view assigned data" permission enabled lose access to all Service Calendars, even when they are valid staff members of those calendars and have appointments assigned to them.
Instead of displaying the Service Calendar, the system shows that the user has no assigned calendar.
However, if the restriction is removed and the user is allowed to view all data, the exact same Service Calendar becomes visible and works correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a Service Calendar and add a staff member.
Assign appointments to that staff member in the Service Calendar.
Go to the user's permissions and enable "Restrict data visibility to only assigned data."
Log in as that user.
Navigate to Calendars.
Expected Behavior:
The user should still be able to see and use any Service Calendar where they are configured as a staff member and view only the appointments assigned to them.
Actual Behavior:
The Service Calendar disappears completely, and the system behaves as if the user has no assigned calendar.
Impact:
This prevents businesses from using Service Calendars while maintaining proper data privacy. The only current workaround is to allow users to view all customer data, which defeats the purpose of the permission and creates a privacy/security issue.
