I'm in the process of setting up a recurring calendar appointment for my client - All I can say is there has to be a better way! My High End Clients give me such greif over the inability to do a simple thing that other calendar systems do every day.
1) We need to be able to choose how many appointments and frequency, right now I'm limited to 24 occurances and have to create different calendars for a weekly recurrance and a bi-weekly recurrance
2) the 3 options for scheduleing are confusing... skip, force, book next ? I've been running tests for a week with my AI guides to figure this one out.
We want a simple book it 52 times - and then the contacts figure out the overlapping appointments - its' what google does. - and it would be really great if we could select either the # of occurances, or the date it ends, or never ends - this would end so much abiguity.
3) Depending on how you set #2 depends on if your reminders keep working. there is one that if it has to skip 3 times, then it turns off reminders - with no indication to the account owner - Oops now the account owner nor the client has a reminder
4) if I have the sync function turned on it automatically - at the point of booking sends my client 24 confirmation messages - this is a fail. I don't know how other calendars make it work - but I do know if I send my high end, high expectations clients this - Well, that's just not happeneing.
There has to be a way that when they click add to calendar, it populates the series on their end.

Need to be able to cancel an entire series after booking. For example, if a client books a recurring meeting that is repeated every week for 12 weeks and they cancel after week 3, need to be able to cancel the remaining 9 weeks all at once (not individually). Also, having recurring payments associated with recurring calendar, especially in the service and class area.

Ability to set recurring appointments based on specific times and days of each month. For example: Set 14 recurring appointments every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 2PM

Please revamp all these different calendar types... getting too complex and they are all limited, can't do this, cant do that.... I feel like I'm an expert at trying to figure out ways around it to try to make it work. ugh. I cant get simple reminders to a growing list of guests to a recurring meeting because it only sends to the single contact and only on the first meeting...wow.

Limitation: Currently, workflows are only triggered for the first custom recurring appointment in a series.
To send reminders via workflow to my clients, I need subsequent appointments to also be included in the workflow, or at least it is possible to add more than one person to the calendar in a round-robin fashion, so at least I don't need to create a new recurring calendar to have two appointments at the same time.
