Date Range Business Days Only Option

For calendars date range, be able to set the ability to have it use whatever days we choose (business days only is the best example). So I can set that I want to only set appointments 3 days out... but if it's Friday, the days available would show Friday (today), Monday and Tuesday. If it were Monday, the days available would be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

This has been under review for years with multiple duplicate requests. It is a widespread issue affecting many businesses. It appears the issue may have been misunderstood previously, so I am requesting a full review.
Request
Businesses need the ability to set the number of bookable days in advance using either business days or available days with bookable slots.
Current setting is Calendar - Settings - Booking Rules - Date Range. This only sets how far into the future bookings can be made from todays date.
The problem
Date Range counts calendar days, not working days or available days. Most businesses do not operate on weekends. Because weekends are still counted, the system does not consistently show the correct number of bookable days.
Examples
If the goal is to always show 3 bookable days:
On Monday you see Tues, Wed, Thurs - correct.
On Thursday you only see Friday, because Saturday and Sunday are counted even though they are non working days.
Correct behaviour needs to show Friday, Monday, Tuesday.
This forces businesses to manually adjust Date Range on Thursdays, Fridays, weekends, public holidays, or when days book out. This creates ongoing manual work across all accounts.
Proposed solutions
Option 1 - Preferred
Add a simple checkbox next to Date Range called Count bookable days only. The system would count only days that have at least one available slot until the defined number is reached. This solves the issue in most scenarios without added complexity.
Option 2
Introduce a Business Days setting allowing definition of business days and bookings X business days in advance. If this option is chosen, Option 1 should also exist as both serve slightly different purposes.

Bumping this, it's still very much a problem and may force us to use an outside booking function like OnceHub instead of using GHL calendars because they can do this.

Hey Paul Johnson Thanks for the post. You could apply the required settings in the calendar availability. Let us know if this helps.

Core Platform: What he's suggesting is let's say you have it so they can only book 2 days out at most. If they come to the calendar on Friday close of business then it will show the next business days such as Monday and Tuesday as it will skip weekends. Currently I don't see that it works that way, if they come to your calendar on a Friday and you have it so they can only book 2 days in advance then they will only see Friday as an opening. The problem comes is when they land on the calendar on a Saturday then it shows zero openings as it's not based on business days, your calendar system is based on a rolling 24 hours. This is problematic in the professional world because we want that lead coming from ads to book while it's top of their mind vs letting them book our 3 or 4 days out and then forget about why booked it or they book with a competitor sooner. Right now, calendly has this feature and it 's helpful.
