James Disch Jr it is VERY hard because the way they coded the concept of Day. Each day has a hard stop at midnight. Try making an overnight appointment! (This might have been fixed, I haven't tested in over a year.)

Update based on discussion during the May town hall for calendars, don’t expect this until late Q3 or Q4. I might be willing to bet on it being a Level Up Day release. But I won’t be shocked if it rolls into 2026.

Thomas Wisbey that’s pretty cool, but not at all what I am looking for. I don’t want to purchase a property management software and just want a calendar widget so I can build out my direct booking site easily on GHL. Plenty of PMS offer direct booking sites but they’re pricey.

Becca Peachey thanks for the feedback! The current solution could be used just for the booking widget, though for immediate functionality (aka blocking off the calander availability across the other listing platforms and having the pricing displayed), it needs to be connected to a PMS. The OTAs limit their api connections so currently it is only possible to do on HL via this middleware passthrough with a PMS. If you have a PMS, you could utilize the caledar widget without use of the other features on the platform, no problem.

Thomas Wisbey I don’t have and don’t want a PMS, and most PMS already offer iframe embedding, so I’m not seeing the advantage of this. I can sync availability via iCal links, and PriceLabs has API integration for pricing, so that would cover both availability and pricing. All I’m looking for is a simple calendar widget that can integrate iCal and my dynamic pricing tool.

Becca Peachey The explicit advantage is the capacity to integrate these industry specific features into GHL, which also leverages the use of custom values across marketing materials within the HL platform, so highly dynamic in functionality.

i can look at integrating pricelabs and iCal's API connections via our middleware as a workaround of PMS companies into GHL 🙏 we do not currently have plans to develop into a full blown PMS, only to serve in this immediate capacity as a passthrough. Eventually we can develop the app to be more client facing, though in the immediate short term we at least want to enable the missing features for HL agency accounts and Vacation Rental business owners to serve their clients in an optimal way.

As mentioned HL does not currently have plans to enable this sort of niche connectivity, but is definitely something we can do now to help the HL community in the way you mention. I just really need this sort of feedback and to gauge interest what apis are highest priority to establish. So, if you know others who might be interested in these API pathways mentioned, please share the word!

Hi Marina Abramson , thank you for the inquiry into the app. At this time we need to evaluate what the biggest ROI and interest is for prospective HL users. I've paid significantly out of pocket to enable this feature and want the community to have access, so of course will look into developing freemium models for use.

Because HL did not have the capacity to collaborate on this build early on, we need to determine the best pathway to redeem those sunken costs and also continue to innovate and improve the solution on behalf of the HL dev team, HL community and the vacation rental industry at large. If you have suggestions in this regard it would be awesome to know your thoughts on a potential freemium access model would look like, ideas around what customers lower threshold for access would be etc.

Thomas Wisbey thank you for putting in this effort. I understand what it takes. I'm executive director of a nonprofit charity. Before I broke my neck and started designing solutions for the disabled however I worked in the tech labs at the who's who have the technology world, Samsung and Korea Sony in japan, microsoft, motorola, Intel, etc teaching software quality test Automation and embedded system user interfaces and UI design for ease of use.

For our purposes I just want to post the calendar on our website so visitors could see availability and select available dates and book them. The basic GHL functionality. Really don't want to synchronize with a PMS and add the extra tool or complexity.

Otherwise for $20 - $30 per month there's a number of tools specifically just for posting something on a website that I could use. So I think your value proposition something in the thousands of dollars a month obviously is for those who have many properties under management.

But if you have some way to simply fill in that missing feature of the duration in GHL or to synchronize with something like Google calendar so that the availability could be displayed. I ran into the same problem with Google calendar for accepting payments on a booking as ghl has.

I'm happy to contribute my skills as a beta tester. Or if you have a suggestion for a tool that simply allows me to post on our own website and accept bookings keeping everything as simple as possible in managing in GHL.

I've spoken with my software developer on what it would take to shift to providing this sort of general calendar functionality; unfortunately it would be quite expensive to do so (thinking shifts in UI and extrenuous api connectivities) and thus a distraction to our intention of serving the vacation rental industry, which is very specific with its functionality and needs. For example, beyond the calendar is a host of other APIs being mapped over via custom values to the HL side, which would get messy in a generic setting directly from our system.

If you have suggestions and a pathway that would allow us to transition in an acute way to serve this immediate need from our middleware servers already established functionality, I am definitely open to discussion on such a collaboration.

Thomas Wisbey take the form fields "start date" , end date" and simply block off the calendar for the dates submitted in the form. My clients just want to rent our their car, equipment, etc. to local customers. Freemium could be this simply feature that GHL does not offer.

Ky Arnold GHL prioritizes CRM and platform-wide functionality and tries to avoid niche market developments. They plan to develop the multiday booking functionality in Q2 this year.
