This would be cool:
When a LC phone number forwards a call to a different number. It would be cool to pass the Caller ID BUT with the ability to add a bit of text in the caller ID before it.
Example:
Caller ID = "John Smith"
Caller ID seen when forwarded to the new number = "FWD John Smith"
Where the text "FWD" could be set by the user. Just a small input box underneath the "pass called number as Caller ID" setting. If left blank, nothing gets added and the caller id goes through as normal.
Why you might ask?
Well, when I look at my cell phone I want to know if it is someone calling my cell number directly, OR if it's a pass through from my GHL system. I might answer the calls differently.
Also, I like adding a Whisper Message, BUT I HATE it when I pick up and start talking, just to hear the whisper message first. If I knew that the call was coming from a call forward, I would wait for the whisper instead of jumping to the swing of things.
I believe this could be done with the new IVR functions of a workflow. However, I think this would be a great native addition to the phone section.
