3 Way Calling

More and more people are using the system to call on leads. They need the ability to make 3 way calls for example to an insurance company to complete a health telephone interview or enrollment into a product. Can this feature be implemented?

We have conference calls on the roadmap but until we build it, I recommend starting a warm transfer to the 3rd person and then not leaving the call. That way, you can have 3 people in the call for now.

Ronak Jindal The problem is not that. You can have 3 people in the call, but if a customer call (incoming call) and they hang up and you are with the other person, the call will drop, there's no way to take off a person if they called and sometimes you need to stay on the call with the 3rd person not the person who called.

definitely this is necessary or at least this should be something to find users on the option to transfer the call.. since this is not useful right now... and if you call the health insurance market the call drops, basically if you get an inbound call the contact or customer has the lead on the call if they hang up the call will drop. the that shouldnt be like that.

You can’t 3-way call in the phone app, only from the browser. Once you “warm transfer” to create a 3-way you lose the option to select the dial pad and can’t navigate menu options like press 1 . You end up having to call the client back from your cell phone instead which comes from your personal number or asking the client to call you right back so Twilio forwards and then do the 3-way on your cell instead.

It is very important to have 3 way feature or transfers on outbound calls, example for the insurance business sometimes you need to connect your customer to connect in the same call to carriers and now it is not possible but this is important, once you guys have that will be perfect. so please try to implement this.

While on a call in your system, click on "Warm Transfer" and it will allow you to add a call. Your are now on a three-way call!
If you hang up, it leaves the other two on the line. You have now performed a "Warm Transfer"
If you'd like to transfer someone to another person without being on the new call, you can use "Blind Transfer" and it will allow you to just forward them to the new number!
