Yes I agree. What I need is for a customer to make a down payment on the invoice and then to be able to pay the remainder when the service is complete.

I don't see anywhere to allow a partial payment for an invoice; only to manually record a partial payment. This is not what we are looking for. What we are looking for is to setup and allow a partial payment on a specific invoice, and for how much; at our discretion. Then, to have an automation for partial payments and reminders, or auto-pay as in recurring invoices. The recurring invoices doesn't allow for a trigger for the product accurately. If I create two invoices at 50% off (as in two partial payments), then it will trigger the workflow twice as if they've paid in full two times. Got me?

This is actually NOT completed, even though it says it is. You only do partial payments for invoices if it's a payment plan or subscription.

Are there any new updates on collecting partial payments on invoices? And will this apply to the mobile app?

One thing I’ve noticed as well, is that a lot of our clients are contractors and there doesn’t seem to be a streamlined solution to having the contractor POC name and billing address to be stored, while also having the ability to save multiple job site locations associated to that contractor.

I thought maybe this related to the invoicing feature as well because it’s important that the contractor is being billed, and not necessarily the job site location.

there should be a way to set a % minimum payment and use workflows to remind users of the rest so the payments can be paid on one invoice by the payor not only manually, is this possible without getting involved with webhooks and api stuff?

Glad to see this go live - I'm hoping that submitting partial payments through Stripe is on the roadmap. The use case being a deposit for service that's applied against the total invoice. Those can/should be collected through Stripe (or other payment processor), without the need for a second separate invoice. Much like the "request payment" feature - a single stripe invoice could be created, then once paid it should be "applied" to the existing invoice.
