INVOICES: Option to disable green payment button
M
Marvin Eckert
We prefer not to use Stripe and want to offer our clients the sole option to pay via bank transfer. Therefore, we provide instructions in the invoice footer and wish to disable the appearance of the green button.

I just want to be able to remove the Pay Now button and send them an invoice. My industry doesn't allow direct payments.

This seems like it should be standard and I don't know why it's not. Hopefully they get a fix for this soon.

Yes please!

Yes please! For larger amounts please allow to select preferred payment methods while creating each invoice. Here's an example of how housecallpro allows to select options for individual invoices before sent.

It should be optional to activate the payment button or not, since sometimes it is convenient to pay by card (recurring charges), but sometimes not (one-off charges)

I can't understand why this isn't already a feature as standard, as it's the most standard way of receiving payments. Please can you make this feature available otherwise the payment system makes no sense.

Exactly - works perfectly without stipe connected but as soon as you connect stripe for other uses, it's not removable

that would be great

Actually, if there are no payment gateways, the invoice won't display the pay button, it only appears in the previews!

Fernando Vazquez Not quite... I have one client that doesn't want to take payment online, so we didn't connect any gateways.
It doesn't show the pay online button when viewing the invoice online.
But, it still shows the green button and the "click here to make the payment now" on the PDF that clients were printing for their records or to include in the envelope when they mail a check, so they were trying to click it on the PDF, getting error messages, calling and complaining, etc. We couldn't remove the "download as pdf" from that page, so we had to switch to using to documents vs invoices, which doesn't quite work as well.
Disabling online payment options overall for PDF and web view should be a simple thing to implement.
