The product in the invoice triggers a workflow that is super important as it tracks hours purchased for a service package. If I created two invoices for the same package with a discount, let's say, it would give them twice the amount of hours which isn't accurate. The triggers need to respond to an invoice and partial payments may be a one-time arrangement with a client.

I fully agree that we absolutely need this! A 3-month subscription is DIFFERENT from a payment plan over 3 months because a payment plan cannot be canceled.

If the customers orders a product for $3,000 and the payment plan is 3 x $1,000 payments over 3 months and the product or service gets delivered right after their first payment, the customer should not be able to cancel but all payments in the payment plan need to be scheduled with no option for the customer to cancel.
