We need a built-in payment calculator feature within the form builder. This would allow users to select options (e.g., products, services, add-ons) and specify quantities, and then automatically calculate the total price at checkout based on those selections. Currently we have this for normal check out but it is a hassle for users that have to first create products etc and it feels very retail (hinders service-based businesses and other business types)
How it works:
Option Selection: The form would allow customers to choose from different options (e.g., products, services, etc via custom fields that can also allow us to set the respective pricing for each option).
Quantity Selection: Customers can specify quantities for each option.
Automatic Calculation: As customers make their selections, the form would automatically tally the total price in real-time.
Display Total: The calculated total would be displayed clearly on the form before checkout, so customers can review their order and total cost.
Why:
Simplifies User Experience: Customers can easily see the total cost as they customize their order, reducing confusion.
Saves Time: Automates the pricing process, eliminating the need for manual calculations.
Enhances Checkout Process: Provides a smooth and transparent checkout experience for customers, improving conversion rates.
This feature would be especially useful for businesses that offer customizable products, services, or packages. It can help prevent cart abandonment by showing customers the total price upfront, making the checkout process more seamless.
Eg) Jotforms has this capability (one of my clients chose them over us due to the lack of this feature and I foresee more doing so too given its a critical feature)
