custom coded forms

The current GHL form builder is stuck in the past. Sure, it works for basic forms — but the moment you want your forms to actually look good and work well, you’re boxed in by its outdated limits.
Here’s exactly what’s broken:
- No custom icons or styling. You can’t even add a simple download icon to a button that says “Download Free Checklist” to make it clear and clickable — you’re stuck with plain text buttons that clash with modern branding.
- Ugly error messages. If someone skips a required field, all they see is ugly red text that often looks nothing like the rest of your site — no nice highlight, no friendly styling, just ugly red that sticks out like a sore thumb.
- No auto-scroll to missed fields. If it’s a longer form and someone misses something, the form doesn’t guide them back, No arrow that points directly to the field required — they have to hunt for what they forgot.
- No true brand match. Your forms are one of the first things people see and interact with — yet they look like they were built in 1995 and there’s nothing you can do about it.
Here’s the kicker:
GHL already lets us use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript everywhere else. And they already let Zapier, Make, and n8n push form submissions through the API — so why are we banned from doing the exact same thing inside the platform and form builder?
It makes no sense to force us to either accept ugly, outdated forms or bolt on third-party solutions when the platform itself has all the ingredients — just locked away.
What we need:
Give us a “Custom Code Form” option. Let us write our own HTML, CSS, and JavaScript inside GHL form builder so our forms can actually look good, feel modern, match our brand, and still work with all the same lead tracking, workflows, and reporting.
If you’re tired of showing your audience ugly forms that don’t fit your site — vote for this. We shouldn’t be forced to settle for half-finished tools when the full power is already there, just waiting to be unlocked. GHL is the best platform IMO so lets have the best form builder.
