When a sending domain is connected to GoHighLevel, every single inbound email to any team member automatically creates a new contact record. This causes our CRM to fill up with vendors, newsletters, marketing emails, and spam as contacts, which pollutes our pipeline data and requires constant manual cleanup.
We need a toggle in Email Services or Settings that allows us to control whether inbound emails auto-create contacts. The ideal behavior would be: only create contacts from form submissions, manual entry, workflows, and lead ad integrations. Not from every random email that lands in our inbox.
This is a basic CRM hygiene feature that most platforms offer. Without it, the Contacts database becomes unreliable and hard to manage for any business that uses their domain email for both lead communication and general business operations.
