Make Email Templates - Work Like Templates!!!

A template is supposed to be the design and feel of the email, not the content.
I need the ability to setup a basic template that determines the font, size alignment, padding, any links or graphics, etc.
Then I can go in and decide the content and any links inside the workflow.
Right now I have to create a new template for every single email we send (or send them without any formatting) and that is maddeningly complex.

Hi David,
Please enable the new flow of Workflows and the new UI if you have not already done that.
Now when you create a template, it is not automatically synced with the email action content. We only let you start with a template unless you want to keep the changes in sync.
We now support both the process. Please check - https://help.gohighlevel.com/a/solutions/articles/155000006141?portalId=48000045315

I'm going insane with this! 5 days later... this should be the BASICS and it's SOOOOO over complicated!

I think this would form part of a unified design system for typography & fonts as the default within the template too.
Right now although there is padding controls for H1, H1, P etc there is no unified design system to ensure consistency across all the differerent email templates.
This would save massive amount of time, and speed up onboarding so that the brand guidelines can be used to set defaults across the sub-account. ie: Typography, Colours etc...

Font size especially is awful to work with in the current template structure... every block defaults to 14px, and copy-pasting text screws it up mightily. We definitely need standardized settings!

Any feedback on time line on this?

YES!!! I was so confused by what this platform calls a "template" at first. A template is a framework not a set-and-ready-to-use email. Create a true template that can be changed across all automation emails using it within seconds and call what is currently called "templates" something else that makes more sense. ConvertKit does this beautifully.
