Currently, the only way to setup shipping is based on overall weights at a set amount. In other words, I have to specify 0-5kg = $X, 5-10kg = $Y. This is EXTREMELY cumbersome AND assumes that you know how much a total cart may weigh based on assumptive sales.

Shipping by weight should be able to total the weight of all products added to the cart and calculate shipping based on that.

For example, in our settings, we would put shipping as $1 per lb or kg and the system would calculate the total shipping based on the cart weight.

We have products that average anywhere from 5-50 lbs each. If someone orders 10x 50 lb bags of rocks, for example, that's 500 lbs. There is no possibility of being able to account for all of these possibilities UNLESS you can add a rate based on total weight of all products in the cart.
