We want the ability to choose things like a custom object record and have our widgets react to that parameter. For example:

I choose a custom object record.

The widgets receive this recordid.

It then displays data within that record.

Same concept for a contact, company, etc. Truly interactive dashboards.

This paves the way to give us hyper custom "full stack like" dashboards. You can even give us a sidebar with subordinate dashboards that all tie into that parameter vs making lots of separate dashboards.
