Create Company Based Dashboard Widgets

Right now, you can have a dashboard widget to show statistics about Contacts, Opportunities, and Custom Objects. But you cannot add a widget like:
- How many Companies had associated Opportunities created this month
- How many Companies have X, Y, Z value in a custom field
- How many new Companies were added in a time period
- How many Companies are assigned to each user.
We should have the same functionalities we have for Contacts, but for the Company object, so B2B businesses can track their performance based on Companies, and not based on Contacts, given that multiple contacts can be just part of the same Company, and for a B2B business, the company is a single client, no matter how many contacts they interact with in the company.

Hi Andres, thanks for laying this out so clearly.
You're right that Companies aren't available as a reporting object today. Here's what you can do in the meantime:
- Contacts by company name groups your contacts by the company they belong to, so you can see how many contacts each company has.
- Opportunity widgets have a Business name condition. You can use it to see opportunities and pipeline value for a specific company.
Neither of these lets you count or report on companies themselves: new companies over time, companies by custom field, or companies per assigned user. That's the gap you're describing, and it's a fair one for businesses where the company is the client, not the individual contact.
We'll post an update here when we have more to share. If your business reports by company rather than by contact, upvote this and share in the comments what you'd want to track.
