Transcribe and Summarize Phone Calls

This would be game changing for anyone who is making recorded sales calls. Similar to Zoom and Otter.ai recorded and summarized meeting notes, having transcribed calls and post call summaries in a format controlled by the user would be amazing. This is a feature that everyone can find value in especially sales people on the road making calls while we are driving between appointments.

I believe the main point that most people are missing is to transcribe all of the calls for the week in one area so AI can summarise the general outcomes and consensus of the situation,

It would be nice if GHL could set up a trigger to summarize call transcriptions and add it to the "notes" section. As if Otter.io was in GHL

Expected to be here around October end - November.

Ronak Jindal Fantastic! I can stop copy/pasting call summaries back and forth from GHL and my desktop GPT. I want to be able to email my clients / leads a call recap.

I want to emphasize how important intentional note-taking is for sales teams. Allowing us to use a customer GPT would have a much greater impact than a generic summary designed for Zoom calls or meeting notes. Different industries require different points of focus during the sales process, and we need the flexibility to define the format, identify key areas to highlight, and ensure that notes capture valuable call-to-actions and insights. This is something that more advanced LLMs like ChatGPT can provide. While a basic summary is nice, it doesn’t meaningfully improve outcomes and often feels more like a surface-level feature. What truly drives results is the ability to customize how notes are created and how transcriptions are synthesized. I hope your team understands the importance of prioritizing these core features over lighter, less impactful ones.

We are working on 2 things:
- Ability to use transcription in workflows
- Summarisation of phone calls
We expect both of these to go out around late October to November.

Ronak Jindal Will this work with Twilio calls as well? Or only with LCphone calls?
I really need support for Twilio calls, so I'm hoping they will also be covered.

I found a solution to this, but it requires an external add on for about $35 per month.

Summarizing as notes is too limiting. What we really need is the ability to access the full transcription within workflows so we can manipulate it however we want (through a custom ChatGPT prompt)— whether that’s generating summaries, pulling action items, identifying topics, or anything else. The key is having a dynamic, easily accessible transcription field we can plug directly into different parts of the workflow without having to manually copy and paste each time.

I'd like to have a Voice AI Agent be a participant in meetings/calls and then transcribe, summarize, much like Fathom or Fireflie and attached to the contact(s) in attendance. Also, have the option to send a copy of the summary to the meeting attendees.
