Internal Comment via Workflows

Adding details into the communication window is currently manual. Why can't we add internal comments via workflows?
Use cases:
- Phone number not textable
- Contact unsubscribed via web form
- Contact did not show for appointment.

The "notes" workflow might be best to handle these.... maybe adding a "checkmark" if you want this note to appear in the main conversation window or not.
That actually would be slick.
Otherwise we have two different types of "notes" that have overlapping functions
