Does not work: filter conversations by "last message channel"

The SMS filter for "last message channel" in the conversations list doesn't work.
We sent broadcast emails to our list, and the conversation tab gets clogged immediately making it impossible to find SMS leads we are communicating with.
Setting the ""last message channel" filter to SMS would be the perfect solution... however in practice it does nothing. All the email conversations still show up, the filter appears to not change anything at all.

Hi - Our client is dying for this feature - they get loads of messages every day, and currently there is no way to filter conversations or notifications by those they are tied to. The only option is to sort conversations by assigned user, but their client support is different from their sales team, who gets the assignments. This means each person on the support team has to sift through all the conversations to find the ones they are part of and lots of leads are getting dropped. Thanks

Agreed, this makes the filters completely unusable.

Please add much more robust filters (ex: filter on any of my contacts custom fields)
