đź’¬ Add Internal Chat option in Opportunity cards
M
Marko Ivkovic
Internal communication about a deal is happening outside the CRM (WhatsApp, Slack, email, calls, voice notes).
Important context, decisions, and documents are not visible inside the Opportunity.
Proposal
* Add Internal Chat directly in each Opportunity.
How it works:
* Button in Opportunity: “Internal Chat”
* Creates or opens a dedicated chat thread for that Opportunity
* Automatically adds Owner + Followers as participants
Two-way link:
* Opportunity → “Open Chat”
* Chat → “Open Opportunity”
Content supported:
Text, voice notes, files, screenshots, mentions, reactions.
Benefits
* All communication stays in context
* No lost voice notes or documents
* Clear ownership and history of decisions
* Less meetings and repeated questions
* Faster handover between sales → delivery
One place per deal: chat, decisions, and files are connected to the Opportunity.

Internal Chat should integrate (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google chat etc.) . Ready Why Below

- Bridge the Gap Between Marketing & Operations
Marketing teams often adopt GHL, but operations teams are entrenched in Slack, Teams, or Google Chat.
Without integration, operations teams refuse to leave their platform, causing communication silos.
Integration ensures seamless cross-department collaboration without forcing anyone to switch platforms.
- Expand GHL’s Use Case Across Entire Organizations
Currently, GHL internal chat is mostly a marketing/sales team tool.
By integrating with Slack/Teams/Chat, GHL's internal chat becomes a company-wide collaboration hub where marketing, sales, and operations communicate smoothly.
This makes GHL stickier across all departments, increasing adoption and retention.
- Native Group Creation & Management
Imagine creating a Slack channel, Teams group, or Google Chat space directly from GHL.
Example: A new client onboarded in GHL automatically generates a Slack channel with the assigned marketing & operations team.
This eliminates manual setup and keeps everyone synced in real time.
- Improved Client & Team Workflows
Agencies and schools often work with multiple departments.
Instead of forcing external logins, GHL can push chat notifications to whatever platform teams already use.
This reduces friction and improves speed of execution—key in education, healthcare, and enterprise settings.
- Competitive Advantage
Most CRMs stop at their own internal chat.
A GHL chat that integrates with Slack, Teams, and Google Chat positions GHL as a cross-platform collaboration layer, not just a siloed CRM.
This is a strong differentiator in the CRM + operations space.

Our team uses Slack for internal stuff but having this built into GHL workflows would clean up so much. Right now we're doing workarounds with emails and it's messy.

This would be a great feature - we are finding it hard to keep on top of the conversations re each opportunity, and the ability to add information, and tag users from within the CRM would be really useful.

this would be huge! Want to start implementing internal chat for clients and this is whats holding me back. Needs to be added to internal notifications or as a full action step. Would be great for so many things: notifications, reports etc

In Internal Chat, a user could:
Create a native internal chat (For marketing teams)
Create a Slack group
Create a Microsoft Teams group
This way, users don't feel the need to leave their current platforms(which causes SOOOO much friction); they can integrate it instead. And still benefit from the all-in-one experience
