Sensitive Contact Data Masking for Phone Numbers and Email Addresses
O
Onur Erdem Erdur
Please add a native feature in GoHighLevel to mask clients' phone numbers and email addresses for non-admin users.
Example:
* Phone: +90 XXX XXX XX 45
Email: j
**@company.comOnly authorized administrators should be able to view the full contact details.
This masking should work in all areas of the CRM, including:
* Contacts
* Opportunities
* Conversations
* Smart Lists
* Pipelines
It should also work across all platforms:
* Web App
* Mobile App (iOS and Android)
* Desktop App (Windows and macOS)
This is an essential privacy and security feature that exists in many modern CRM systems and helps protect customer data, prevent staff from copying client information, and support compliance with GDPR, KVKK, and other privacy regulations.
Please consider adding this as a standard built-in feature in GoHighLevel.

This feature could also be extended to fields other than phone or email, as well as to custom fields.
I’ve seen and tested the feature described here:
However, after running some tests, I noticed that:
- If you export the contact list, you can also see the folders containing “sensitive” data
- Even when setting a contact view with visibility restrictions on certain custom or standard fields (this works in the single contact view), in the contact list view it is still possible to enable the display of columns containing “sensitive data”
Is it possible to speak directly with the team that developed this feature to see if the “manage features” button can be removed?

I think it needs more nuance regarding where it appears masked and to whom, but overall good idea.
