The business name field and companies tab need to be tied together. When updating the business name field, it should search your current list of companies before you can add a new one. We have a major issue with new companies constantly being created due to people putting in the names differently, misspelling, etc. And there's no way to merge duplicate companies, so it's a process to delete and re-associate contacts with the correct company.
