The phone number custom field does not format the numbers properly to display it like how a regular phone number looks (The built in custom field does this though)

The phone number fields in company and custom objects should function like they do with contacts for formatting. All the suggested work arounds from support do not work or require using a premium action which we shouldn't have to do.

I'm actually having issues with this also. Doing a CSV import and some phone numbers import while others don't, and there is no specific reason cited in the help documents that answers why.
