Merging contacts loses the associated purchases and has catastrophic results impacting invoice and potentially future recurring payments.

It would be beneficial if the "Purchase Activity" could be merged for all of the duplicate contacts. This a pain point we about hear from our users.

True, I experienced this today as well. I merged two contacts but one of them had a subscription associated with it. The subscription object remained in GHL but it was pointing to a contact that no longer existed (because it was merged), even though the email remained the same. This was because the contact ID had changed (the merger basically created a new contact with a new contact ID) and the contact ID that was associated with the subscription no longer existed.
Thus, my new merged contact does not have any subscriptions attached to it!
We should have the ability to keep associations with subscription, payment and invoice objects, if possible..
