Last Engaged Activity Date Trigger for Workflows.

Right now the only way to trigger a re-engagement workflow is for everyuser to have an opportunity in a pipeline. That seems very messy.
Can we please get a "last activity" trigger that only takes into consideration actions taken by the contact?
This information is in the activity log but we can't do anything with it right now to watch for contacts that have fallen off.
