Please add 'Website URL' as a custom field type for contacts and companies. Use case: being able to click on links from a contact or company record to external links (social media pages, 3rd party systems, Google Drive / Dropbox links etc)

I would also love the ability to make that link formatted as a button. My use case would be to put a webhook behind the button that could create a new google sheet from a template and link it to that opportunity or contact. This would make a huge impact for GHL to become extremely useful and tailored to the sub account.

Add "HTML Link" as custom field option

HTML links will allow users to seamlessly integrate external content into their forms, Contacts or opportunities. This can include links to Terms & conditions, websites, documents, videos, or any online resource, making the form more informative and engaging.

This would be great if there was a clickable links custom field to be able to link to a drive to save files etc.

Come on guys. 214 upvotes and still "under review". You roll out new extensive bells and whistles every day and ignore the basics! Any serious CRM has clickable URLs!!!

This feature would allow for custom links to be generated and clickable from the contact record for opening forms with prefilled URL parameters for example. Would open up a lot of possibilities for making the contact record more useful to sales and admin staff

Mark Penney I think the ability to pass variables through on this would be immense. Great idea.

This would be the best possible simplest solution:
- Allow for a custom field prefix
- Render any field that starts with https?:// as a clickable link
Now the absolute ideal is that you can make any custom field an anchor hyperlink with text and href, but first option will more than do.

we need this field to automatically detect the url and be clickable. This would be a game changer

Not just for contacts and companies but everywhere, even in free text note fields where the system automatically recognizes a URL and make it clickable after entry. As an example, in Asana, when you add a note or comment with a URL (you do not even have to add "https://", Asana automatically converts that text into a clickable link, e.g. when you enter wsj.com into a free text field, it converts wsj.com instantly into a clickable link.
If adding clickable URLs to anywhere is too much of a challenge to GoHighLevel developers (would be really strange...), at least start out with the suggested "Website URL" as a custom field for all objects.
This request was submitted 2 (TWO!) years ago and is still just "under review". Are any of GoHighLevel engineers actually understanding how much time real life users waste by not having clickable URLs?
