Please add 'Website URL' as a custom field type for contacts and companies. Use case: being able to click on links from a contact or company record to external links (social media pages, 3rd party systems, Google Drive / Dropbox links etc)

This has been under review for over a year... Can you please give us an update on when this extremely basic feature that even 100% free CRM's offer, will be added into GHL?

Yes, please make it be a field attribute. Not a type of field.

Please consider adding this. This is a lot of use for a basic web url field type.

Please also consider allowing the URL field to have a fixed prefix and the field's value and input only being suffixed to the resulting URL which is "linkified" when viewing i.e.
field prefix = https://example.com/profile/
contact a
field value = alice, resulting url = https://example.com/profile/alice
contact b
field value = bob, resulting url = https://example.com/profile/bob
This helps avoid data entry errors and means if the URL structure of whatever the field is capturing ever changes, only the prefix needs to be updated. It should still be possible not to set a prefix and enter a URL in full as the field value.

This would be helpful! Another use case is to link a contact to their record in another system, ie. salesforce.

I have various clients receiving key sales info (credit report) to their contact's custom fields after finishing an application.
This information is critical to continue the sales process with each individual contact.
A clickable hyperlink as a custom field would be amazing for them to access this key information of each lead.
