Summary:
Add the ability to open a structured, popup or expanded-view data entry form directly within an existing contact record that writes to contact custom fields. -- OR. Extending the customizable CENTER UI portion to include custom fields would remove the requirement for a popup form for data entry.
The Problem:
The current left sidebar in the contact record is narrow and requires CSRs to scroll through a long, single-column list of fields. For teams that need to capture structured intake information during a live interaction with a contact, this creates a slow, error-prone experience. Notes are unstructured, and navigating away from the contact record to other tools breaks the workflow.
The Request:
Allow admins to configure an internal form or — using add custom contact fields to the customizable UI Center section. You can already add other sections to the center. Why not custom fields.
Key Capabilities Needed:
Trigger the form from within an existing contact record OR allow custom fields to the center UI Section.
Use Case:
Law firm CSRs conducting new client intake over the phone need a clean, structured form to capture case-relevant information in real time while inside the contact record.
