Months later and still zero progress on this safety feature. It’s great to know that GHL prioritise new features over safety improvements. Definitely a flawed approach to platform development. Makes sense for feature request but gapping holes in the platform are left unresponded and addressed.

This presents a massive safety issue for communities and encourages scammers and more to target vulnerable people. When is this issue being addressed by the team at GHL? Support engagement yields no progress, program/product managers hide and won’t engage. It’s pretty disappointing from a new customer perspective.

In particular, lock Chat for new members. Unlock at a level specified by the admin in settings (or on manual override by the Admin). A workflow action so we can unlock the Chat after completing certain portion of the Courses would be great.
