If I have a group of 50 people, and one channel is for the 10 people who have VIP access to information, I would like to do that by adding a channel called "#VIP" so that channel becomes locked to everyone else except the VIPs, instead of making two separate groups.

In this context, it would also be helpful to have more options when pricing group subscriptions. In this way, for example, we can offer existing customers group membership at a lower price. The sales process directly on the group side is currently still very underdeveloped, and paid groups are THE big topic of the future.

Enoch Leffingwell, Private channels (with the workflow action Add to Private Channel) are hidden, people who aren't members cannot see that they are missing something. The Premium channel would have an upsell effect through visibility.

Keith Besherse I realize the private channels work in the way you're describing. I'd LOVE the ability to toggle on and off visibility for private channels. However I didn't catch that was what the original poster was requesting in their feature request. But I'd love what you're describing for sure.

Really need this, and courses should only be available to those who have access to certain chanels too - but people in the free group should be able to see paid groups and courses as locked

I would also love this. Ideally, I can have several channels that are open to everyone in the free community, and then 4+ private channels for my paid VIP members but that the free community members can see the channels, just not access them. This would create a ton of FOMO and they would be able to see what channels they are missing out on.

I prefer this to creating 2 separate communities or having hidden channels (which are also great for other reasons mentioned in this thread) but that the Free Community members can't see.

I'm so glad this is here. I'm building out a community currently with at least multiple private channels for paid members of varying programs, and it would be nice to have some only visible to members, but have an option to make them visible but they have to pay through "insert method here" to access it.
