It would be amazing to add a community map feature inside GoKollab, accessible via a tab placed next to “Members”.
The goal would be to allow members to:
• share their location (city / region / country),
• appear on an interactive map,
• and discover other members nearby.
👉 This would:
• encourage local meetups,
• foster regional collaboration,
• and strengthen community engagement.
🎯 Many hybrid or business communities (coaching groups, masterminds, training programs, local networks…) would benefit greatly from a geographical overview of their members.
Optional enhancements could include:
• opt-in visibility controls,
• filters by city / profession / role,
• a direct “Contact” button from the map.
This would be a strong differentiating feature for GoKollab.

I know this seems useless, but it’s incredibly powerful to see in real life who is close to you and Skool has this feature where you can see a map of all the community members which encourages people to meet in person and see where the geographic center is which is very powerful in Europe or Asia or US. It really makes the community feel connected.
We have been able to connect people from the US to Africa for building water wells donated as a % from accountant’s revenue just because this feature created geographic recognition. It’s incredibly powerful just because we know where people are located. Our community members love it because now they are meeting neighbors in the same city. When we transitioned from Skool, we tried to replicate this, just by having subgroups by language and region.

Would be great to have the ability for members to add themselves to community maps. Great way to have meetups and meet people. Agree with Keith, members should have the ability to add themselves and not be forced or if they are forced to be able to hide it from other members but not admin/owner etc of the group.

Yes. Collaborators (individual members) should have the option to hide profile pic, bio, and location from other regular members but not from Owner/Administrator/Moderator.
Also the ability to block Chat from other members but not from Admin/Mod.
