Allow community users to edit @ profile slug

Currently, community users seem to be assigned a profile slug (@firstname-lastname-code) where the code is 6 random letters/numbers.
We'd prefer if the users would not have to have these 6 random letters/numbers appended to their slug (@handle) to start with. If there are other users with the same name, then just adding a number would suffice. I think it's common practice not to include hyphens in automatically generated slugs (@handles).
Even better, they would be able to edit it to something unique for themselves that is easy for them and others to remember.
Also, ideally there would not be any conflict in handles across multiple community sites.

It would be great for our members to have the ability to customize their @slug for communities so they can match it to all of their social media channels and have congruency across all platforms!

currently the slug and @ profile name is auto generated , usually has a bunch of random letters and numbers. We should be able to customize/personalize these.

This is very important and is a privacy issue. Many people do not want their full name exposed on the internet for a multitude of reasons.

Maybe just a community based slug chosen by admin and then the letters after are only member intials or a combo of letter/number since they'll definitely be repeats.

This is important. People don't necessarily want their full legal names showing up in their profile, which is bound to happen when we automatically add them to a group after a purchase. This needs to be editable.
