Allow Cancel Subscription to Be Effective at the End of the Billing Period

Currently, when someone cancels a subscription from the client portal, it is effective immediately. Most memberships want their clients to be able to cancel but be effective at the end of the billing period so customers get what they paid for fully.

This is definitely putting GHL behind all the alternatives. This needs to be addressed so we can continue being competitive in the subscription space, especially for courses and communities.

I think I have found a workaround for this:
Choose the workflow trigger called Subscription
Under Filters Choose
Status -> is -> canceled
Global products -> is -> canceled
Then create a goal event
(I renamed mine from goal event to "Delay until payment fails")
Select failed payment method.
Then set up a Course revoke offer, Revoke Private Channel Access, and any email notifications - internal and external.
I'd love to know if this works for you, and also if there are any refinements that would make it better!

Yes, this is definitely required for any membership.

yes this is absolutely necessary both when the client cancels via the client portal or when we manually cancel via payments -> subscriptions.

I would also like to do this in the Payments->Subscriptions screen.

Yes we need to take into consideration the remaining time of the subscription when cancelling, otherwise they would have paid for something and they would end up not using, which would cause them to come to talk to us about this.
