I'd like to increase engagement in my community for course comments. Adding course comments to Groups would allow members to see all course comments in one place, increasing the chance that they will engage with course comments. Right now, someone has to go to a Course>Category>Lesson to see comments. This is tedious, and a hit-or-miss exercise.
Here's a description of this proposed feature
When Admin clicks "+ Add Channel" in a Group, the modal window presents the option to add a channel with Course comments. If that's selected, there could be further options; e.g.:
  • Add all courses member has access to (this would filter the comments to only the courses a the member has access to)
  • Add only these courses (with multi-select option of all courses in sub-account)
This channel would aggregate all comment threads posted in the selected course(s), sortable and filterable by course, category, lesson, date, member, etc. It would include links to the location of the post (i.e. the lesson). Members could click on the link to reply in the lesson, or they can choose to reply right there, in the channel. Anything posted in the channel would also appear on the lesson page in the course so all posts/replies appear in both places -- the lesson and the group channel.
