We’ve completely reimagined how Tasks work in your CRM.
You can now associate a single task with multiple records — Contacts, Opportunities, Companies, and even Custom Objects — creating a flexible, context-rich task system that mirrors how real sales and service teams actually work.
What’s new
- Multi-object task linking:Associate a task with up to 10 records per object type — including Contacts, Opportunities, Companies, and Custom Objects.

- Smart defaults depending on where you create the task
- Unified “Associated Objects” panel across all modules — instantly view which records a task belongs to.

- Advanced filters in the Tasks tab to find tasks by contact, opportunity, or assignee.

- Custom Object support: Create, view, and manage tasks for any custom entity.

Why this matters
Before this release, tasks were tied only to Contacts — meaning Opportunity or Company records could only inherit tasks from linked contacts. This limited visibility, especially for teams managing deals, projects, or accounts across multiple stakeholders.
Now, Tasks are fully decoupled from Contacts, giving teams precise control and visibility across every object.
Real-world use cases
🧑💼 Sales Reps:
Create a single follow-up task for multiple Opportunities (e.g., “Send updated pricing to all Q4 renewal deals”) — no more duplicating work across records.
🏢 Account Managers:
Track a company-level onboarding task (“Review contract and setup call”) that’s linked to both the Company and its primary Contact — keeping visibility unified across both views.
🤝 Cross-functional Teams:
Link one coordination task (“Collect feedback from pilot customers”) to multiple Custom Objects or Companies — perfect for teams running beta programs or regional campaigns.
✨ This release transforms Tasks into a truly CRM-wide activity hub — bridging Contacts, Opportunities, Companies, and Custom Objects with a single unified experience.
